More Purple

In a show of purple solidarity, Reina has begun her own blog off of my site.  She is the Dolmere to my Coal, as it were.  This is most assuredly an attempt to counteract their darkness with some purple perfection.

Live @ The Shelter in Exile – Part II

Last week we had our first live music event at the Shelter in Exile. The build itself seemed to go over pretty well, but most importantly, Frogg and Jaycatt were awesome. Here are a few pics from that event:

Just yesterday we had our second concert, this time Cylindrian Rutabaga was our performer. Again, an excellent concert. More pics:

(Vanity side-note: Frogg showed up and said I was his kind of people after I made a particularly geeky comment. Yay!)

Next Wednesday we have Mel Cheeky lined up. Woohoo!

Now I'll take a moment to say my thanks. Thanks to all the Shelter folks for making this such a success! There are a few in particular who I'd like to say thanks to, though. First of all, Coal Nelson for not only donating the land, but living through the hell that is setting up repeaters so everyone could hear everyone. It's probably the most overlooked aspect of the build and the most complex. Thanks, Coal.

Thanks, too, to Dolmere Talamasca for spearheading this and lining up the acts. Bringing live music to new folks, and keeping the venues free.

Thanks also to Sumar Morgan and Reina Quine for adding the finishing touches, such as providing a means to dance while you're there. It's the details that matter, and so do they.

And thanks again to everyone that's come out and enjoyed the fun. It wouldn't mean anything if there wasn't anybody enjoying it.

That’s It!

I've had it. I can't take it. Enough! Fin! Hasta la vista! Made to go bye, bye. No more. Poof! The drama factor in my second life has hit an all time high, it seems, and I just can't take it. I realize that I've been a contributor in a fit of depression, but that also adds to my distaste. So, purple powers deactivate!

Now I'm not saying she had anything to do with it, but we were able to capture some footage from the security cameras..

Purple Power

I feel I need to write something just to move the last postings down a bit.  I'm not entirely sure what to write about, though.  I've not worked a lot on BanLink in a few weeks.  I didn't mean to stop work on it, time just kind of flew by quickly.  As most that know me will attest, I tend to jump into a lot, maybe even too much.  I can't help it, if I'm not doing something in SL, then I'm feel guilty.  Lately I've taken a little break from "working" in SL and given some socialization a try.  It's been nice, I'll admit.

got purple?Well now you can get it. Just hop on out to my store and get your very own free purple button. It attaches to your HUD and gives you a view of the world in all it's purpley glory.

You should also go there just to see my new store. It's not quite complete, but it's mostly done. Osterhout (230, 25)

Before purple button, life is boring…

boring

After purple button…PURPLE!

Purple!

Reina QuineSpecial thanks to Reina Quine for testing this out for me. We hung out together for a little while last night.  I even snuck an impromptu photo. Reina is one of the sweetest people I know and I really enjoyed being able to talk to her a bit more last night. Head out to the Shelter and say "Hi", she'll most likely be there.
